Abstract
Assemblages and chemical compositions of skarn and ore minerals from the Eboshi deposit, Naganobori copper mine, Yamaguchi, Japan were investigated. The major ore minerals are cobaltite, chalcopyrite, pyrite, cubanite, covellite, native bismuth, bornite, sphalerite, bismuthinite, cassiterite, matildite, hessite, and tsumoite. Cobaltite formed in the early stage, and chalcopyrite, pyrite and Bi-mineralization in the early and middle stages, and Ag- and Te-mineralization in the late stage. In the latest stage, apophyllite-(KF) was formed by the hydrothermal fluid.
