Cation ordering in the {530} growth sector of the garnet from Suisho-dake, Toyama prefecture, Japan

Abstract

Crystal structure of the {530} growth sector in the garnet from Suisho-dake, Toyama prefecture, Japan was investigated in order to compare to the previous studies and discuss the origin of cation ordering in low symmetry garnet. The unit-cell parameters and violate reflections suggested that the crystal structure of the {530} sector has monoclinic symmetry. Result of the structure refinement and cation ordering would be reported.
