Conclusion This study intends to make comparative study on the present fire defense ability of the Japanese local governments in the densely populated areas and in the non-densely populated areas. It has been proved, as a conclusion, present level of preparation of fire defense engines in the densely populated areas is lower than the preparation level of fire engines in the non-densely populated areas.
