Abstract
This report examines a selection of noteworthy neologisms in English reported between February 2023 and June 2025 by the Study Group on New Words and Usages. Emerging from the interplay of psychological, social, cultural, and linguistic dynamics, neologisms articulate realities that conventional vocabulary cannot fully express. The study selects salient examples—including those tied to current events—and analyzes their word formation, emergence, lexical extension, and brief discursive characteristics. It also examines usage contexts, discursive tendencies, and lexical spread. By documenting these items and their sociolexical backgrounds, this paper offers a snapshot of ongoing lexical developments in contemporary English.
