The Application of Image Processing Techniques to Telemedicine

Abstract

 In this paper, we present a new computer system to improve performance in telemedicine efforts by emphasizing high-quality video imaging. We apply digital mosaicing technique in computer graphics to automatically composite images, for the purpose of create wide high-resolution mosaics of the scene of the patient site, so as to permit doctors in hospital sites to perform telemedicine diagnosis more effectively.
