Abstract
In this paper, we report the business continuity plan of hospital information system for pandemic influenza A (H1N1) at the university hospital in the central Tokyo. The BCP was drawn up following steps; 1) identification of essential business, 2) their continuance methods, 3) additional measures, 4) preparation of the manual. As the result of making the BCP for pandemic influenza, we found that cross-train staffs, savings of consumptions, and procurement of resources newly disposed, such as PC clients in the clinic designed for influenza, are needed. This BCP can be applied to other hospitals to minimize the impact of influenza pandemic.
