Abstract
This study was conducted to elucidate the causes of delayed implementation of information links in the field of nuclear medicine and to identify the issues to facilitate the implementation of information links. We conducted a questionnaire survey of medical institutions performing nuclear medicine examination in Hyogo prefecture for presence or absence of the hospital information system introduction, its intra-system linkage, image storage and processing methods, and radiopharmaceutical management. As a result, we discovered that the information linkage with electronic medical records including ordering information was not sufficient in each step from placing the test request to completing the test. In image storage, a storing method of captured screen images displayed on the analytical device in a DICOM format seems to be widely used. In radiopharmaceutical management, many institutions use hard-copy form without computerization. These operations are believed to be caused by the uniqueness and diversity of nuclear medicine.
