Abstract
Statistical analysis using the data of the Diagnosis Procedure Combination system (DPC) has been the effective method of hospital management. However, the contents of the expended healthcare resource differ from the same DPC code by difference in patient's condition. As a result, many doctors did not agree on the contents of the statistics analysis. We are performing continuously management by case-studies which added case-survey to statistics analysis. The contents of analysis which we carried out have obtained many doctors' agreement.
We developed the educational electronic medical recoding system (EERS) which invalidated patient's information, in order to generalize this analytical method. Furthermore, development of the educational program using this system for healthcare administrators is tried. In 2012, the participants in the educational program were made to experience the management by case-studies using EERS.
Participants' analysis result was indicated to be the cause by which the insufficiency of knowledge by either doctors or healthcare clerks wasted the health resource. This analysis result was the same as the result of us who carried out in advance.
Therefore, the effectiveness of the educational program has been suggested.
