Abstract
Raman spectroscopy is a kind of vibrational spectroscopy that provides information on the mode of vibrations of molecules as well as crystals. The method can be an effective tool in studying various chemical states of materials and identification of unknown materials. The Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute of the AIST Chubu Research Center has been constructing a database on Raman spectra of inorganic materials and minerals, with an aid of the Geological Museum, GSJ.
