Abstract
El Zancudo deposit located in Antioquia, Colombia, is a hydrothermal deposit. Basement rocks in this region consist of the Cretaceous schist uncomfortably overlain by early Tertiary deposits, and plutonic bodies, which caused ore mineralization events. At the south part, disseminate ores are common. The ore minerals are very complex: pyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, argento tetrahedrite, freibergite, miargyrite, andorite, boulangerite, jamesonite and bournonite. According to the relation between FeS mol% and frequency in Sphalerite grains this deposit can be classified into Cu-Pb-Zn vein deposit, the presence of multiples episodes of deposition are differentiated, it agree with Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag vein deposit.
