Abstract
Computed tomography is the non-destructive method to obtain the internal structures of objects. Quantitative CT images with high spatial resolution can be obtained using synchrotron radiation. Tomography available in SPring-8, the largest synchrotron radiation facility in Japan, (attenuation and phase tomography for the distributions of linear attenuation coefficients and refractive indices, respectively) and its applications to earth and planetary materials including three-dimensional image analysis are discussed.
