Abstract

Computer networks are developed in the automobile industry. OEM linked the computer network to the suppliers by the dedicated line at first. After then, inter-enterprise networks which use VAN were popular but are converting mainly into the network which use the Internet these several years. The suppliers are forced into the load of Multi-terminal, because the network is the proprietary specification of OEM. Computer networks depend on the communication policy in the country mainly in addition to depending on the technical development. The promotion of communication's liberalization developed the computer network among the enterprises. In this paper, I would like to compare the development of the computer network in Japan, the United States of America and Korea for the automotive industry, and I would like to make the difference relate to the communication policy and analyze it. By the way, it has built and began to work the standard network in the North America car industry, called ANX. Does it get not to need VAN when ANX spreads? Why could ANX be realized at such short time in spite of the communication infrastructure? What is waking up about the supply chain of the car industry? I would like to make them clear with the actual state research.
