Abstract
The controlling nutritional status (CONUT) method is used to screen for hypoalimentation in patients. It is based on reference intervals of clinical tests in adults. We believe that it is necessary to review the use of CONUT in infants. We compared screening methods based on the albumin value and on CONUT. There were many patients whose hypoalimentation was not detected in the screening based on the albumin value. On the other hand, there were many patients who showed no hypoalimentation in the screening based on CONUT. Therefore, we revised the CONUT score on the basis of the standard range for infants. As a result, we have corrected the problem.
