Abstract
Collecting samples such as blood and urine is one of the most important steps in clinical laboratory tests for diagnosing diseases, and it is necessary for medical staff to learn many accurate techniques and obtain knowledge on venipuncture and clinical sample collection. For this purpose, we have performed seminars mainly for doctors and nurses every year since 2010, and conducted a questionnaire investigation about our approaches and programs. On the basis of the results of the questionnaire investigation, it appears that knowledge of the procedure of blood drawing and its handling, especially the effect of clenching and the order of blood collection tubes, should be disseminated.
