Olfactory function tests in otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic

Abstract

Olfaction means the chemoreceptor sense of smell and its disorder is called olfactory dysfunction. The olfactory test is classified into subjective test and objective test, but currently only subjective test is used clinically. This paper details olfactory test such as T&T olfactometer, intravenous olfaction test and olfactory identification test used for diagnosing olfactory disorders in Japan.
