Abstract
It has been pointed out that the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” will make it possible to realize a society that was previously thought impossible and that industrial and employment structures may change dramatically. For companies, the source of competitiveness that creates added value has shifted from “things” and “money” to “people.” Therefore, (1) human capital management, (2) HR transformation and (3) job-focused employment are attracting attention as corporate strategies. This change will have a significant impact on the occupational health system in the near future. The significance of careful health management from hiring to retirement will diminish, and it is thought that occupational physicians will be outsourced even in large companies.
