【Objective】To clarify concrete activities of occupational health staff on alcohol related strategy in advanced companies. 【Methods】We conducted an semi-structured interview for 4 occupational health nurses and one occupational physician belonging to companies that have alcohol related strategy and advanced activities in Japan . Data was analyzed qualitatively and descriptively. 【Results】Forty-four codes, 14 sub categories were produced and were grouped into 4 categories as follows, “They have supported for problem drinking workers politely and continuously,” “They implemented company-wide activities including population-approach and high-risk approach strategy.” “They have developed the organizational foundation to prevent from alcohol related problems in the company.” “Occupational health nurses with rich experience have established their attitude and the policy to a problem drinkers.”【Discussion】In the company with advanced alcohol related activities , it was found before legislation that corporation with many sections and staff was built for the problem drinker, and developed the comprehensive system which included population approach for all employees in with done thing after legislation. Also, the occupational staff have established their attitude and the policy to a problem drinker. These findings will be useful for the company working on alcohol measures in future,
