Abstract
In this study, a laser propulsion and tracking system for a laser-driven micro-airplane is proposed and developed to achieve continuous propulsion and flight control. The coaxial double beam of He-Ne laser for the laser tracking and YAG laser for the laser propulsion is irradiated to the moving micro-airplane by controling the galvano mirror on the light path with the measured signals of the dirrection error between the irradiated and reflected He-Ne lasers. Basic experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the developed system.
