Abstract
Rheological behavior and adsorption phenomena were examined for suspensions of PS powder/associating polymer solution(HEUR) . PS/HEUR Suspensions formed floccurations and separated to two phases in the HEUR concentration range 0.2 to 1.4wt%. Adsorbed polymer chains would cause the inter-particle bridges, which brought about the floccuration, while polymer networks generated by association of hydrophobes in aqueous phase played an important role in stability of suspension.
