Abstract
This paper discusses on applicability of the boundary element method in conjunction with Gusssian Newton method with damping term for the numerical shape idenfication problem. This problem has an inner unknown boundary which is located at center of potential field. The obtained results show that the various identification process in two dimensional region. We recognize the effectiveness of damping term of nonlinear least squre optimum method.
