Abstract
When we simulate a post-yielding behavior of a rectangular cross section, two element models are applied generally. One is that a cross section is divided by segment and judge for each segment to be elastic or plastic. Another one is that ultimate resultant stress curve in the resultant axial force-resultant bending moment space is assumed to be a constraint condition. We propose a new analytical method, which is possible to evaluate partially-plastic state without consideration of many segments in a cross section. Our method is a hybrid one with ordinary two methods.
