Abstract

We propose an Eulerian solid analysis method using Lagrangian maker particles which can impose geometric boundary condition on solid interfaces in the spatially fixed Cartesian mesh. Basic equations are spatially discretized by using a collocated finite volume method. Equations of motion and velocity gradient tensor are computed on Eulerian mesh, while constitutive equation is evaluated on Lagrangian maker particles. To verify the proposed method, several numerical examples will be demonstrated.
