Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of collaboration between the university and special needs school through support for sports club activities, as an example of coaching creative dance and examining the changes in university students’ views of coaching and the impact on students and teachers. As a result, supporting club activities provided university students who had completed their coaching practice with an opportunity to broaden and deepen their learning about practical coaching and enabled them to change their views on coaching. Furthermore, it was found that the tasks of teachers changed and students’ learnings expanded through club activities.

The collaboration between the university and the special needs school through support for club activities was reciprocal. The collaboration can be said to create a highly collaborative team. In this respect, the author points out the significance of support for sports club activities by university students.
