Abstract
This paper is concerned with laboratory corrosion testings for a mild steel and a 2" iron pipe, related to waterflooding.
The purpose of these testings is to select the kinds of corrosion inhibitors, and to seek the relationship between corrosion rate and the other factors.
We obtained some results about the following points;
(1) The testing solution of “Sarukawa” sea water is compared with those of other water in corrosion rate.
(2) The properties of “Sarukawa” sea water are explained from a corrosive standpoint.
(3) The effects of corrosion inhibitors are shown as experimental results.
(4) The performance of pH value and Redox potential for corrosion rate are experimentally presented.
