Abstract
In consequence of continuous rising of the Kuching High, a large amount of paralic sediments deposited expanding to the east with the change of the ages. The Mahakam Delta, at a present time developing at the mouth of the Makaham River, is recognized to have at least two paleo-deltas through middle Miocene to Pliocene time. All production of crude and gas in this area are from paralic sediments, and of these ninety percent or more are from the deltaic sediments.
