The Optimization of Public Facility Management Corporations by Local Authorities

Abstract

ABSTRACT：Following the annexation of 3 former townships, the current local authority, Manno, has established the fundamentals for a concentration reform plan and administrative reform. A particular objective of the concentration reform plan is to reaffirm the core competencies of the local authority, while also proactively utilizing the private sector for all other services and projects. Pursuant to this strategy, Manno has procured comprehensive maintenance and inspection services for its public facilities. The local authority is also using the PFI method in its renovation project for the local junior high school-gymnasium-library complex.
