Town equity researches and the future of real estate sciences

Abstract

In order to address planning themes such as smart grid and midtown revitalization we need to have a framework to view a city. We stress the importance to analyze our city from the unified viewpoint of consumer behaviors. To do this enables us not only to disentangle how various aspects of our city are related with each other but to construct a scientific method to assess how various policies enhance the value of our city. We call this the town equity research. Moreover, with recent advanced mobile technologies like smart phones and location services utilized to obtain micro-data of human behaviors, the town equity research for strategic town management will open an ample research frontier for real estate sciences as big data sciences.
