City planning efforts against the risk of water disasters in Kurume City

Abstract

This article introduces that community development efforts against frequent and intensifying water disaster. In Kurume City, flood damage has occurred for 4 consecutive years. For that, building a safer and securer city is an urgent issue. Among the efforts, we will mainly introduce the location optimization plan including disaster prevention policy with integrated inland water measure project.
