The effect of natural disasters on the economic activity

Abstract

Recently, natural disasters regularly strike major cities in Japan, leading to numerous fatalities and billions of yen of property and infrastructure damage each year. This paper surveys researche of various analysis about the effect of natural disasters on economic activity.
