Urban Planning Approach Towards Mitigation of Increasing Flood Risk

Abstract

In the concept of flood mitigation based on future climate change, measures such as the control and management of housing and building and land use in areas with a high risk of inundation are now also within the scope. This paper discusses the concepts of flood risk countermeasures and the role of urban planning, flood countermeasures through land use and building regulations and guidance, and information that can be used as a guide for land use and building regulations and guidance.
