Abstract
Historic interpretation of war exhibits in museums is affected by the hosts' nationality, ethnicity, and political/thought orientation. This presentation considers the role of politics in shaping memories of war by discussing war exhibits in U.S. museums. It also examines the significance of a global historical perspective in museums and the role of anthropological research in developing that perspective.
