UNESCO's "Standard" for Cultural Heritage Protection and Its Criticism

Abstract

Focusing on UNESCO's formulation of the notion of cultural heritage and scholarly criticism against it, this paper looks to the international dimensions of the elaboration of the concept of cultural property. It elicits that protection is presumed as a good in the cultural property debates.
