Abstract
This presentation aims to deal with the meaning of food in the global migration process.(1)How images connected with food practices are articulated or fragmented? (2)How images construct personal/collective identities of (trans)migrants? (3)How imaginary home images are represented and essentialized through food practices of concerned actors? I want to discuss these themes from the case of migrants and their food of multi-ethnic area in Japan.
