The objective of this study was to examine the usefulness of a fine particle visualization system by utilizing it to nursing students acquiring infection control skills and by identifying the changes in their recognition. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted, and twelve sophomores at University A responded. As a result of the analysis, students' recognition by utilizing a fine particle visualization system formed six categories, including followings: [There were bacteria and dust in the air more than they imagined] [There were air-borne particles generated from their own bodies] [They were able to understand the meaning of infection control skills]. Through the utilization of this system, nursing students changed and became able to recognize the existence of bacteria and air-borne particles and to imagine concrete actions. This suggests that the utilization of a fine particle visualization system is useful for students acquiring infection control skills.
