How Foreigners Are Treated in Postwar Japan Education Policy：A case study of school health activities in foreign schools and a compulsory school attendance system for foreigners

Abstract

　This study analyzes the colonialist nature of postwar Japan’s education policy based on the current state of school health activities at foreign schools and the history of compulsory school attendance for foreign nationals. Unless efforts are made to recognize, verify, and overcome colonialism in educational policy, the practice of separating those who live and those who kill, even among foreigners, will continue to be repeated many times in the future.
