Abstract
This paper is a summary of the result of a nationwide questionnaire for all prefectures. This study aims to understand the current situation and problems of information policy in prefecture as a whole. Main contents of the questionnaire are as follows: 1) The organization system in prefectual government to conduct policies, 2) The outline of information policies in the past, 3) The Method to build and utilize public network equipment, 4) The Relation between locality and information policies, 5) The Policies for local media, 6) Evaluation, problems and prospect of information policy.
