Bubble Growth Experiments at JAMIC Drop Shaft

Abstract

Experiments for the preparation of a. planned Spacelab experiment in the Bubble, Drop and Particle Unit (BDPU) ha.ve been performed at the JAMIC drop shaft in November 1993. The aim of the experiment is the investigation of the evaporation and condensation kinetics a.t the vapor liquid interface of a single vapor bub­ble in a. homogeneous supersaturated liquid. Nine drops ha.ve been successfully performed a.t JAMIC. Bread board components of the Spacelab experiment were tested under microgravity conditions.
