Abstract

The purpose of this study are to explore the behavior of patient interacting with student in clinical nursing practicum. The research process is qualitative and inductive and has been made reference to the Grounded Theory Approach. Scenes of patient-student interaction have been taken as the sample. The data are collected through participant observation without intervention. Analysis of the data has been conducted through the constant comparative method. The findings that revealed four concepts about behavior of patient of object for care in clinical nursing practicum are as follows;<The indication and regulation of patient as to physical and psychological situation>,<The receiving and reacting of patient as to nursing care>,<The approving and reacting of patient as to teaching and learning activities between teacher and student>,<Patients' coping with quality of nursing care>. Basing on the results of the above four concepts, the characteristic behavior of patient of object for care in clinical nursing practicum and the actual condition and instruction of clinical nursing practicum have been discussed.
