Incorrect

This trend was found in the data of food intake in HNESJ based on individual eating record17), and this was further validated by the data in the UNFAO data base of nations’ food supply18) (Supplementary Fig.1-3). It should be noticed that Japan exhibits the most extreme change among other nations (Supplementary Fig.3). The rate of this decrease was age-dependent and more rapid change took place in the older age groups (Fig.5 and Supplementary Fig.2).
