Wind Simulation Tunnel at Department of Architecture, Univerany of Tokyo

Abstract

An Effeb-type wind tunnel has been installed at Department of Arch irectvre, University of Tokyo. The size cif its working section is 1800mm in height, 1800mm in width and 15600mm in length. The range of wind speed is from 0.5m/s to 13.0m/s. The uniformby of mean wind speed are within ± 1.0% and ±1.7% for the mean wind speed of 10m/s and 3m/s respectively, and the .intensity of turbulence is below 0.7%(both 10m/s and 3m/s) except for the boundary layer near tunnel walls. Both the structural issues and the environmental issues arc to be considered through the experknents using this wind tunnel.
