Abstract
The first banding record of the Radde's warbler in Oita Prefecture, Japan was obtained on December 5, 2009. The banded bird was identified as distinct from Dusky warbler and Yellow-streaked warbler by the measurements of bill depth and width. Although the skull was fully pneumaticized, the age of the bird was determined as 1st winter based on its worn tail feathers and greyish iris. Sexing was not possible, because the species is not showed sexual dichiromatism.
