During the breeding season in 2005, 12 Grey-headed Lapwing fledglings were color-ringed on farmland (36°18´N, 136°17´E) in Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan. On May 25, 2006, one of the 12 color-ringed lapwings, a nesting female, was discovered on the farmland. These data show that female Grey-headed Lapwings are capable of breeding at 1 year of age.
