A Lanceolated Grasshopper Warbler Locustella lanceolata was banded at Yawata, Chikuma, Nagano Prefecture on October 12, 2015. The Lanceolated Grasshopper Warbler was not banded until 2014 in Nagano Prefecture. To our knowledge, this record is the first banding record of the Lanceolated Grasshopper Warbler in Nagano Prefecture. According to the skull ossification, iris color, moult, and wear of remiges, this individual was confirmed to be in first winter plumage in this prefecture.
