Abstract
I capture incubating or brooding Grey Starling in nesting boxes by hand. I am always careful to avoid nest desertion by ensuring that:
1. Before capture, I identify that both the male and the female are involved in incubation.
2. After I identify that an un-marked bird incubate more than twice, I capture the bird at least 6 days after incubation.
3. If both male and female are captured, I identify that the first-captured bird is incubating before capturing the other bird.
