Abstract
Twenty cases of vocal cord paralysis, caused by the Influenza in Winter (1969/70), were statistically studied. One patient of them repeated the paralysis three times and her both vocal cords were fixed with difficulty of respiration and she was rescued by Kelly's operation.
The relation between vocal cord paralysis and the epidemic influenza was researched literaturally. After the influenza epidemic in 1889-1891 and 1899-1901, many Arthritis crico-arytaenoidea were reported. Some of them might be nerve paralysis.
Finally, the operative technique of the bilateral laryngeal nerve paralysis were discussed.
