A Rare Case Report of the Tracheal Foreign Body and Its Bibliographic Consideration

Abstract

A rare case of the tracheal foreign body is reported. The patient was a 37 year-old-male who had aspirated a 100 yen coin into the subglottic space in the process of drinking. The foreign body was extracted by foreign body forceps using Jackson's direct endoscope under the neuroleptoanalgesia. A bibliographic consideration on the foreign body in the respiratory system was taken and the usefulness of the neuroleptoanalgesia at the removal of the foreign body was briefly discussed.
