Abstract
A micro-computer was utilized for storing and processing the health data of Saitama University students. All the data of about 1200 freshmen were stored into a sheet of semi-floppy disk(occupying approximately 46 clusters). Data processing was made also by the micro-computer. Among the results, the distribution of the body weight was of a particular consideration. In place of the cubic root transformation, which had been believed to be the best, the logarithmic transfomation resulted in a better approximation to the normal distribution according to skewness, kurtosis, AIC(deviance)and D'Agostino's D statistic.
