Endovascular Treatment of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Using Vascular Plug

Abstract

A 56-year-old woman presented with varicose vein in her right thigh and perineum. She had chronic pelvic pain and was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome from left ovarian vein insufficiency. Endovascular treatment was preformed to occlude her left ovarian vein using AMPLATZER Vascular Plug II. After treatment, the symptoms of pelvic congestion were resolved.
