A 74-year-old man presented at a local clinic with left-sided neck swelling and pain. Left internal jugular vein thrombosis was observed. Therefore, the patient was referred to our hospital. Oral administration of a factor Xa inhibitor was initiated. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed numerous enlarged lymph nodes within the abdominal cavity. After detailed examination, the patient was diagnosed with simultaneous advanced double cancer of the stomach and colon. Even if deep vein thrombosis occurs in areas other than the lower extremities, the presence of malignant tumors, including those in the abdomen, should always be considered.
