We are proudly declare the inauguration of an internet journal, “Journal of Computer Chemistry, Japan -International Edition (JCCJIE)” in this winter. The Society of Computer Chemistry, Japan (SCCJ) has been publishing an internet journal, JCCJ, for more than thirteen years, and has acquired good reputation in the area of computer chemistry including applied mathematics and life science. However, the majority of the papers were written in Japanese language, though English abstract was obligatorily attached, through which the access from oversea researchers are beginning to increase.
Now the International Edition of our journal will carry only scientific papers in English to be aimed to supply an active agora for the scientists not only in Japan but also in the world-wide countries working in the wide area spanning computer chemistry, life science, applied mathematics, and the related science education.
Although the number of the members is as few as a few hundreds, our society, SCCJ, is organizing two symposia every year, and publishing an internet journal, JCCJ, which is occasionally devoted to some special topics. In 2014 we could succeed in publishing a special issue* on relativistic quantum chemistry (RQC) contributed mostly by the group of theorists of chemistry in Japan, but Professor Pekka Pyykkö willingly wrote the preface. We are boastly proud of this project demonstrating the high level and ability of the researchers in this country, and are planning to publish other special issues of our new JCCJIE, solely in English but by international authors this time.
Please, join and help JCCJIE to get high impact factor. J-Stage (Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electronic) will also help us.
